Patrick Henningsen is the founder and editor of news outlet 21st Century Wire, and is an independent journalist for Russia Today (which, of course, is banned across the West). He is also the host of the Sunday Wire radio show every Sunday on the Alternate Current Radio Network.

Patrick is also my colleague at TNT Radio, and has one of the smoothest voices I’ve heard. I asked him to join me for a conversation about
- his background and legacy;
- why journalism is in the toilet;
- the future of the West;
- South Africa’s importance in a multipolar world;
- liberalism, conservatism, and ideologies; and
- the United States of America.
I’ve had the pleasure of chatting to a handful of fantastic journalists, such as Lara Logan, Whitney Webb, and Max Blumenthal.
Anywhere you see the phrase “the new normal”, you should reject it. It’s based on a fraudulent premise that COVID-19 is somehow a fundamentally much greater threat than other infectious diseases, when it’s not. Anyone pushing this should be confronted and publicly admonished.
