Stop worrying about cholesterol, as Tim Noakes and many others have repeatedly stated for years.
High cholesterol won’t clog your arteries and cause heart disease. Such thinking is establishment nonsense that has been around for decades and won’t go away.
In fact, there is no scientific evidence supporting the claim that high cholesterol causes heart disease.
In other words, butter is great and eggs are delicious.
What causes heart disease?
Diabetes.
Tim Noakes explained everything in the following conversation with me. I recommend listening to his previous discussions with me in which he elaborated on overlapping talking points.
And what causes diabetes?
In the main, a diet high in sugar, processed food and carbohydrates, all of which trigger inflammatory responses in the body.
I can confirm from my own experimentation. I changed my diet to a low-carbohydrate one a few years ago and, as a result, was able to cease my prescription drugs (antidepressants and proton pump inhibitors). Combine improved nutrition with strength training and my daily performance – mental and physical – has rocketed.
Consuming more fat has not made me fat.
Instead, I have lost fat and gained more muscle (thanks to barbell training).
