Foot and mouth disease is a political scam

South Africa's declaration of foot and mouth disease as a national disaster is politically driven fear porn, says Húgo Krüger. Farmer Angus, a friend of mine who is a regenerative farmer, refers to it as 'foot in mouth disease'.

Officially, foot and mouth disease (FMD) is a highly contagious viral disease affecting cloven-hoofed animals such as cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats, causing symptoms like fever and blisters in the mouth and on the feet.

It does not infect humans.

Unofficially, foot and mouth disease is politically-driven fear porn used to push vaccinations.

Big Pharma harms not only humans but also animals. Our pets are over-medicalised and not healthier for it.

Such as foot and mouth disease.

Apparently, there is an outbreak here in South Africa.

On February 13, 2026, President Cyril Ramaphosa declared foot and mouth disease a national disaster during his State of the Nation Address. The declaration released emergency funding and expanded administrative authority. It also elevated an ongoing animal health problem into a national political event.

Farmer Angus

I visited a friend of mine, Farmer Angus, and he took me to his cattle and explained why, on camera, he refers to the scam as 'foot in mouth disease'.

Here's what he said:

Man destroys the cow’s immune system and is then taught that the pharmaceutical industry will fix the problem.

The basics of cattle husbandry are ensuring a varied diet of herbivorous plants and moving the animals at least once a day to fresh grazing. Depending on where you are farming and your access to water (either irrigation or rainfall) it is a minimum of 4 weeks before the cattle return to the same field. This breaks the parasite cycle and allows the plants to recover.

The cow is not a grain-ivore or a chickenshit-ivore or an expiredchip-ivore or a fruitpulp-ivore. It was designed as a herb-ivore.

Routine antibiotics and asthma drugs (beta agonists) are not in their dietary design either.

We don’t live in our toilets, yet man has ordained that most farmed animals have to live in theirs. This logic is upheld by all agricultural academia and taught to veterinary students as the standard.

Why the FMD (foot and mouth) vaccines will not work

In other words, stop worrying about viruses and vaccines, and start worrying about living conditions.

Hügo’s Newsletter

Hügo’s Substack, called Hügo’s Newsletter, has a superb breakdown of the whole thing.

The outbreak resurfaced in early 2025 after several years of uneven disease control. It spread to eight of South Africa’s nine provinces, with only the Northern Cape remaining unaffected. By late 2025, authorities had recorded 452 outbreaks. That figure rose beyond 500 in early 2026, with 24,406 confirmed cases reported for 2025.

Placed in context, those numbers are far less alarming than public rhetoric suggests. South Africa’s cattle population is estimated at between 12 and 14 million animals. Confirmed cases therefore represent roughly 0.17 to 0.20 percent of the national herd. In epidemiological terms, this does not constitute a systemic agricultural crisis.

Less than 0.20 percent of all cattle.

That's it.

It's like Covid all over again.

And as Farmer Angus said, the disease can be avoided simply by taking better care of the animals. No pharmaceuticals required.

'We don’t live in our toilets, yet man has ordained that most farmed animals have to live in theirs.'

We’re constantly bombarded with fake news, propaganda, agendas, and outright lies. It’s an information war. What is true? I don’t know either—but I’m trying to find out.
