Everything is downstream from culture

Gavin McInnes argues that the West must fight to save its values if it wants to survive the future. He is correct.

Gavin McInnes is the co-founder of VICE magazine and Proud Boys and is one of the best trolls around.

He is also colloquially known as the ‘godfather of hipsters’.

We started Vice as a punk zine, just a bunch of kids screwing around in Montreal, but it turned into this hipster empire. I don’t recognise it anymore.

— Gavin McInnes

The establishment likes to label him a ‘far-right provocateur’ and ‘Western chauvinist’, whatever that means.

After all, what exactly is meant by ‘far right’? I have no idea. I’ve been asking for years and am yet to receive asimple, coherent answer. The left-right dichotomy mattered around the time of the French Revolution, which was centuries ago and is no longer relevant.

Left and right are dead terms—they’re just tribal banners now, meaningless in a world run by tech and money.

— Nassim Taleb, philosopher

Gavin calls himself a 'champion of Western values’ and the New York Times says he ‘reserves a burning fire for the political correctness of people on the left whom he describes as busybodies who have lost their sense of humour.’

All I know is that he enjoys trashing woke folk, feminists, and other postmodern nonsense.

Feminism is redundant—there’s a war on masculinity, and women are happier at home than pretending to be men.

— Gavin McInnes

Spotify removed all his Joe Rogan appearances. Why?

Here is one of his now-removed appearances on Joe Rogan's podcast:

He joined me for a quick chat while on the way to his holiday destination, dropping in comments about Trump, feminism, and why I should leave Africa.
