Norman Finkelstein is a Jewish American political scientist known for his outspoken views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and especially Israel's military actions in Gaza.
In the early 2000s, he published The Holocaust Industry which led to him being banned from entering Israel for a decade. (The Israeli government, of course, denies that it's because of his book.)

💰 The industry
The Holocaust is an industry—Jews use it to extort money and guilt-trip the world, and half the story’s made up anyway.
— Norman Finkelstein
His central argument is that the memory of the Holocaust has been exploited for political and financial gain, such as justifying Israeli policies in Palestinian territories and extracting compensation from European countries.

The Holocaust industry has also weaponised language and laws, such as labelling legitimate criticism of Israel or Jews as 'antisemitism' and, worse, criminalising such criticism.
For example, it is a criminal offence to question or ‘deny’ the Holocaust in the following countries:
- Austria - Illegal, up to 10 years in prison
- Belgium - Criminalised, up to 1 year in prison
- Canada - Prosecutable under hate speech laws, penalties vary
- Czech Republic - Banned, up to 3 years in prison
- France - Prohibited, up to 1 year in prison
- Germany - Outlawed, up to 5 years in prison
- Greece - Criminalised, up to 3 years in prison
- Hungary - Illegal, up to 3 years in prison
- Israel - Forbidden, up to 5 years in prison
- Italy - Criminalised, 2 to 6 years in prison
- Liechtenstein - Prohibited, up to 2 years in prison
- Latvia - Banned, up to 5 years in prison
- Lithuania - Illegal, up to 2 years in prison
- Luxembourg - Outlawed, up to 6 months in prison
- Netherlands - Prosecutable as hate speech, up to 1 year in prison
- Poland - Criminalised, up to 3 years in prison
- Portugal - Banned, up to 8 years in prison
- Romania - Prohibited, 6 months to 3 years in prison
- Russia - Illegal, up to 5 years in prison
- Slovakia - Criminalised, 6 months to 3 years in prison
- Switzerland - Forbidden, up to 3 years in prison
If something is true, why does it require state protection?
Well, here's a rabbi answering that question:
I’ve looked in the Pentateuch and can’t find anywhere where it says what the rabbi is saying.
He did say Torah (in the Jewish context), though, but the Torah and Pentateuch are very similar.
“The Holocaust is a Jewish myth, that did not come into being until more than 20 years after the world war. The term did not come into general use until after 1967.”

Six million? A lie—it’s an industry built on fake diaries and staged photos to keep the guilt money flowing.

🎙️ Podcast episode
Leading up to this episode, I mentioned it on social media and some woke types tried to sabotage the recording by contacting Norman and telling him not to engage with me. He contacted me, saying he'd received such messages but prioritises free speech over wokeness.
