Martin Armstrong is an American economist and financial analyst who is known for his work in the field of economic forecasting.

He is the founder of the research firm Armstrong Economics and is widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on economic cycles and financial markets.

Martin first gained fame in the 1980s for his work in predicting the Japanese economic boom and subsequent crash. He also accurately predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union, as well as the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s, as well as the dot-com bubble of the early 2000s.

His forecasting models are based on the idea of cyclical patterns in human behavior, which he believes can be used to predict future economic and political events.

Martin has developed a number of proprietary models that are used by investors, businesses and governments around the world.

Martin joined me for a conversation around the current collapse of the West and where he sees things heading.
