Carbon Dioxide is critical for all life on Earth.
It is a crucial component in the process of photosynthesis, which allows plants to convert sunlight, water, and CO2 into energy-rich carbohydrates. Higher levels of CO2 enhances this process, leading to increased plant growth, improved crop yields, and greater food production.
The controlled use of CO2 in greenhouses is a well-established practice in modern agriculture.
By introducing elevated levels of CO2 in greenhouses, farmers can optimise plant growth, increase crop productivity, and enhance resource efficiency. This method has proven effective in various crops, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce, leading to improved yields and quality while reducing water and fertilizer requirements.
NASA satellite data has shown an increase in Earth’s green vegetation cover, often referred to as “Earth greening.”
This greening effect can be attributed, in part, to higher levels of atmospheric CO2. The resulting increase in vegetation has numerous ecological benefits, such as enhanced carbon sequestration, improved soil fertility, and increased biodiversity.
There is no reason to reduce CO2 levels.
There is also no evidence showing a significant link between CO2 and climate. There is, however, a strong link between the Sun and climate.
