Simon Roche is the spokesman for Die Suidlanders (Afrikaans for “the south landers”), a South African “emergency plan initiative” hated by the government, corporate media, the political left, and even much of the political right.
The focus of this conversation was less about racial hatred in South Africa (of which there is plenty), and more about prepping from a practical perspective. But, to be clear, Die Suidlanders, as an organisation, does not promote hatred or antagonism towards any ethnic group; instead, it understands that, during times of increased civil and political unrest, human nature dictates that people gravitate around similarities and common denominators.
History seems to be full of readily available examples.
Regarding preparation, Simon touches on
- good physical location;
- reliable vehicles;
- long-term food storage;
- being armed; and
- getting gold and silver.
