Are we alone?

It’s a question that mankind has asked, not just recently, but for thousands of years.

A spectacle of ships gleamed in the sky.

I’ve often wondered about it. I don’t know what to think, if I’m honest. It’s something with which I have grappled for years. If Earth is flat (inside a dome), like many ancients believed (and many, today, still believe), then extraterrestrial life doesn’t make sense. But if Earth is spherical in an infinite universe, then extraterrestrial life seems more plausible.

Not only plausible, some might argue, but entirely logical.

A cover-up?

If, however, it’s all just nonsensical paranoia, then why have the talking points persisted for so long and why are there—and have been—actual high-level government-sanctioned investigations?

That said, UFOs—unidentified flying objects—don’t have to necessarily be from outer space; they could equally be advanced military technology hidden from public knowledge. After all, what do you suppose Area 51 is all about?

Much ado about nothing?

Your guess is as good as mine.
