A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found a significant increase in the risk of myocarditis (heart inflammation) following the mRNA jab (with Pfizer or Moderna).
The risk was particularly high in young males after their second dose. For example, males aged 12-15 experienced a 133-fold increase in myocarditis cases per million Pfizer doses compared to the expected rate. The study reviewed reports from the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) between December 2020 and August 2021. It found that out of 192,405,448 individuals who received mRNA vaccines, there were 1,991 reports of myocarditis, of which 1,626 met the case definition. The median age for these cases was 21 years, and males comprised 82% of the cases.
Almost all individuals with myocarditis cases were hospitalised. The study also pointed out that underreporting is likely, and the actual rates of myocarditis could be higher than estimated.
Another study from Oxford University found that the risk of myocarditis following the Covid™ vaccine was up to 14 times higher than that following ‘COVID-19 infection‘.
